The Coward Lion is rescued by the Queen of the Field Mice and our friends meet the Guardian of the Gates to the Emerald City.

Dorothy, Toto, The Scarecrow, the Tin Woodman and the Cowardly Lion continue their journey to "The Great Oz." Their travels get dangerous as they face the frightening Kalidahs and then there is an even greater danger in "The Deadly Poppyfield."

Dorothy, Toto and the Scarecrow rescue the Tin Woodman and meet The Cowardly Lion.

Dorothy and Toto begin their journey down the yellow brick road to the Emerald City of Oz to meet the Wizard.  On the way they meet a talking Scarecrow who joins them on their journey.

The first two chapters of the story of Dorothy’s journey to OZ.   
After being carried to the magical land of Oz from her home in Kansas, Dorothy is greeted first by the Munchkins.   
Then she is instructed by the Good Witch of the North to follow the yellow brick road to the City of Emeralds where she will meet the Wizard of Oz who is the only one that can help her return to her home.  
Dorothy and her dog Toto begin their adventure in the land of OZ.
